The 2019 WV Black Walnut Festival Pageant will be a one day Queen and Teen Queen competition.  The 2019 WV Black Walnut Festival Queen and Teen Queen will reign over the WV Black Walnut Festival and represent the festival throughout the year. The WV Black Walnut Festival Queen will compete at the 2020 WV Association of Fairs & Festivals Pageant. All contestants will be invited and encouraged to participate in our Royal Coronation, which will kick off the 2019 WV Black Walnut Festival, and the WV Black Walnut Festival Grand Parade. The Royal Coronation will be on the evening of Thursday, October 10, 2019 and the Grand Parade will be on Saturday, October 12, 2019.

A full schedule for pageant day will be provided once your application is received. We work hard to ensure that each contestant has a fun and memorable experience at the WV Black Walnut Festival Pageant.

Registration:  The contestants will begin registration at 9:30 am. Following registration, we will begin orientation. Parents, guardians, family and friends will be encouraged to attend the pageant orientation on the morning of June 15th. After orientation concludes everyone except for the contestants and pageant staff will be asked to return when the doors open for the final show at 5:00 pm.

Contestants will compete in private interview during the morning, followed by rehearsal. We will break for lunch, then continue with rehearsal. At the conclusion of rehearsal contestants will be provided dinner and then released to the dressing room to make their preparations for the final show. Contestants will be given ample time to rehearse and prepare for the final competition. We will provide lunch and dinner for each contestant. No one will be permitted in the dressing room except for our contestants and pageant staff.
